Documenting the Moishe House story - one house at a time!

Picture
I'm on a mission: to travel around the US to visit as many Moishe Houses as I can in 3 months. Why? Well... that's an excellent question. As a new Moishe House resident in Brooklyn, New York, I wanted to travel around this great country and see the fantastic work that Moishe Houses from New Orleans to Chicago, from DC to SF, are doing in their local communities. I'll be documenting the ins and outs of the extended Moishe House family, taking video footage and photos of residents and their events, as well as attending the Moishe House National Conference and two Moishe House Learning Retreats.

Armed with a 60-day unlimited Greyhound bus pass, a camcorder, and copious quantities of trail mix, I'll be schlepping from city to city, meeting all the great Moishe House residents I can along the way.

Will it be tough? You bet -- I'm planning to put in 120+ bus hours, primarily travelling overnight.
Will it be uncomfortable? Sure -- have you ridden a greyhound bus?
Will it be worthwhile? Totally!

So stay tuned to my adventures as they unfold. I'll be tweeting, I'll be blogging, and I'll be releasing videos as the trip progresses.

A Bit About Me

Picture
Originally from Sydney, Australia, I moved to New York in January to open Moishe House DUMBO in Brooklyn, NY. I have a penchant for long-distance overland travel adventures. I've driven an autorickshaw 4,000km across India with 2 friends, cycled 1,050km from Sydney to Melbourne as part of an interfaith bike ride, and road-tripped around most of Australia's perimeter.

That's why 120+ hours on greyhound buses doesn't really phase me!
